Ursprünglich und rar im Wallis, hat sich diese Rebsorte sehr gut angepasst. Die leichten Gips-und Kalkböden des Clos de Mangold geben ihm typische Noten von Mandarine und Safran, ausgeglichen, leichte Tannine, elegant-fruchtiger Gaumen mit feiner Mineralität. Diese Spezialität wird in Amphoren ausgebaut.
